Over the past 10
years we have been fortunate enough to have played a small part in assembling
some of the most Award Winning Wines Lists in Australia and now have some very
exciting news. After much cajoling and begging, and more than just a little
grovelling we are now able to access the cellars and are releasing a small but
exquisite selection of perfectly cellared wines for our winestyle
clients.
The wines come from
all around the world but they share in common their very high quality and
scarcity together with prices that will entice and surprise in the nicest
possible way. All come with our 100% Happiness Guarantee but in many cases there
is only a bottle or two available and are offered on a first in, first served so
if you want it, don’t hesitate. The good news is that it is a big cellar and we
will continue to add more wines regularly so keep checking
in.
Please share this
with any friends or colleagues who may be interested, but only after you have
ordered your wines first!
Like all of us we have
been deeply touched with the tragedy and scope of the Bushfires here and across
Australia, so to do our bit to help -
With every order you
place with us in January & February, we will donate $5 for every 6 bottle
buy and $12 for every dozen you purchase. Every little bit helps and we hope to
help as much as we can.

Made by Tessa Brown and Jeremy Schmolzer from Sangiovese & Pinot Noir grown in Beechworth this is the most delicious, soft, seductive and irresistible Rosé, full of evocative fragrance and ethereally light, dry and delicate on the palate.
The
fruit is sourced from the Wood vineyard, grown on a highly exposed north facing
slope at the De Bortoli Dixons Creek Estate in the Yarra Valley. It was planted
in 2007 to a selection of premium clones of Nebbiolo including the highly
perfumed 111 Rosé clone and Lampia selections Mat 7, 9 and 10 and
230.
This is totally brilliant Rosé, spicy, savoury, slightly saline and just way too lip smackingly delicious. There is nothing shy here, but it is very subtlely seductive and you need to be careful, the bottle will be empty way before you want it to be!
2019 sees the addition of Sangiovese into the Nocturne rosé and we liked it so much it has become the dominant player in the blend. Lighter, finer and slightly more ethereal, it’s blended with 40% Nebbiolo to allow some chew and grip and grown-up appeal. 2019 was a ripping year for rosé in Margaret River. Great early flavours allowed low alcohol picking decisions, resulting in a cracking wine.
The fruit comes from the sub-region of Carbanup in Margaret River, with the sites being relatively flat and warm with fertile, red sandy soils. The grapes were harvested between 16th and 28th April. The Sangiovese fruit was simply destemmed, chilled and pressed using only the free-run fraction of the juice. It was then fermented at moderate temperatures using as always solely indigenous yeasts. After fermentation it was matured for three months on gross lees to add additional texture. The Nebbiolo fruit was hand-picked and, after chilling, whole bunch-pressed directly to old oak for fermentation. This took close to six weeks, after which the wine received a further four weeks’ maturation in barrel. At this stage the final blend between Sangiovese and Nebbiolo was decided and the wine was emptied from barrel/tank, settled, filtered, sulphured and bottled on 3rd August.
We are super stoked with the final wine!! The texture and acid structure are highlights of what is likely a more approachable and fruit-forward release of Nocturne rosé. As always, best drunk from magnum, on a boat, wearing white…. It’s a pale salmon dream.– Alana & Julian Langworthy
Beautiful notes of rose petals, florals, crunchy berries supported by a finely but persistent tannin frame. Minerals and cherry blossom on the palate.
"Luminous pink. Reticent nose of white flowers and herbs, plus a whiplash of red berry juiciness. Round, rich and tactile, with good juicy cut that extends the flavours on the long finish. The bottle carries both the Nervi and Conterno names (Nervi was recently acquired by the Giacomo Conterno estate). Nebbiolo." - Ian D'Agata – Vinous Media
92 Points - Gourmet Wine Traveller Magazine. "A surprise package which really delivers. Subtle rose-hips, marshmallow and a touch of musk. Soft and gentle, with lingering flavour and a slightly creamy balance. This is a nicely crafted , delicate wine with a poised, dry finish".
